Round trip this hike is listed as 11 miles, and approx. 10 hours time. It's apparently hikable from mid-July through October and can be found on Green Trails Map No. 80 Cascade Pass.

You need a backcountry use permit to camp while on this hike, and that can be acquired through the Sedro-Wooley office for North Cascades National Park at (360) 856-5700 ext. 515. You may be able to get a backcountry pass online nowadays, I'm not sure though.

The crest of the Sahale Arm (which appears to run along the ridge of Cascade Pass) offers a beautiful view in apparently all directions, at a high point of 6600 feet.

To get here, take Highway 20 to Marblemount and then cross over the Skagit River and continue east, another 23.5 miles on Cascade River Road.. At the parking lot to the trail head, the eleevation for the hike begins at 3600 feet.
